Smile A few questions regarding NLHE tournys/bankroll

Hi! So I've just started taking poker a little bit more serious and I'm keeping all my stats recorded etc. At this time all I basically play is 3$ 18man SNG's on pokerstars. I've been building my way up from around 70$ to 180$ in 2 weeks, haven't really played alot, some here and there.

I would really appriciate some advice regarding bankroll management. I seem to remember a viable option was something like buy in for 2% of ur bankroll and never buy in to cash games with above 5% of ur bankroll, but I would like some more info on this.

Also, I really wanna start playing some higher limits, like 5$ sng's atleast, but I don't have a clue how the difference is and such. When I play it feels like I'm way above avarage playing them micro stakes, but I'm also concered I'm just having a little luck. I've won like 4 of my 12 sng's, so I've got to have had some luck. but on the other hand, I haven't really got exceptional hands in any way. I feel like I've really outplayed people.

I'm also concerned playing these low stakes too much will make me worse, because when I play live poker with friends and stuff, I play really different. When I look back on my discissions I know I should've played em different. Not that I loose, I pretty much win every time, but I don't play good poker. I wait for a good flop and I check raise all of them. So my concern is if I keep playing with people that are worse then me that I would just like "deprove" my game.

I sound like I think i'm really good at this but that's not the case, I know every one of you guys are superior to me. That's why I came here asking for advice

and sorry for my bad english

Re: A few questions regarding NLHE tournys/bankroll

You didnt really ask a question, but I'm assuming you want advice on whether or not to move up. Your sample size appears to be way too small. Set yourself a stop loss and move up and take a shot if you think you are truly outplaying everyone at your stakes. If you find yourself overwhelmed, just move back down. 50-100 BI's for MTT's is standard and 20 BI's for cash as well.

Re: A few questions regarding NLHE tournys/bankroll

I know, was a bit messy.

I just took at a shot at this 22$ TCOOP satelite and qualified for the 55$ 6max shootout tourney. I actually made 67th place and a 329$ price and the reason I didnt make it to the 36last was i lost AQ to A9 preflop against some pokerstar pro. I've also moved up to 0.10-0.25 and I feel like i have an edge. It's going well and I'll just keep on climbing when I feel like it.
