Coaching Advice for a Beginner

Hi, I decided after several failed attempts at building a solid bankroll to look for advice on 2+2, I had heard that this is a good place to talk about poker and get advice on become a better player.

I will first of all tell you a little about me, I have just turned 20 and I am currently in my 1st year at University where I study Business Studies and Marketing. I study in Scotland and this is also where I am from although my father is iranian so I have a duel nationality.

As far as my poker goes when I first turned 18 me and my friends became obsessed with casinos and gambling, we would spend around 3-4 days a week going to casinos etc, anyways onto my poker. I started playing poker as a way to get away from roulette and blackjack and soon found out there is lots of money to be made playing poker. I started to go along to daily tournaments at my local casino in edinburgh and obviously wasted alot of money to start off with. As I improved I opened up a Pokerstars account, on my first day of opening I wasted around $2,000 playing $3/$6 NLH. I stopped playing nearly 1 year later I came back but I am a losing player online and cant seem to turn this around.

In live games sometimes play tourneys at my local casino and generally do pretty well in them, I am in the £+. However I also play the £1/£2 and £1/£3 games there with whatever money I have and for a short time i was winning but now an overwhelming loser.

I have terrible Bankroll management and a few months ago I put in £400 roughly $720 into my account I started off playing 25c/50c HU NLH however lost a large amount and was soon down to $300. I then started playing SNG's $7 6-max hyper turbos and started tracking my results I had an ROI of 25% and with a 4th place finish in a MTT I was back up to my $700. I then jumped up to $15 hypers and I was breaking even, I then started losing and running pretty bad, I tilt very easily so I then started playing 50c/1 zoom and 25c/50c zoom along with 25c/50c HU NLH (which i cannot beat) and lost my BR.

I am really keen and determined to make myself a good player and start winning money, I have recently realized cash games is not my forte. I dont currently have any spare $$ to play with so I am taking this time out to try and improve my game, I am looking for help from more experianced players on what I should do next? What sort of coaching would be good for me and overall what am I doing wrong and what can I do to prevent me from doing these things. What sort of sites are good for SNG players and what books would you recommend. I also find it VERY hard to stay motivated without seeing big results, for example if I am playing $7 hypers for 1 week and make $400 I then want to move to $15s. how can I stop this? could anyone share stories of how there patience has payed off?

Sorry the post is so long and boring but I would be grateful if someone would be able to help, whether its recommending a book or a coach or just roughly telling em what the think my next steps should be.

Thanks guys
