We had users who made significant amounts of profit (I'm not going to drop pointless anecdotes in here though). However, to an extent you're potentially right that GS was losing its competitive edge, IMO. When you have RIO essential at $10/mo and Upswing at whatever it is but that being done by WCG, it's tougher to carve out a niche targeting micro players at $30/mo (or whatever it cost, I'm not actually sure on that point). We also had the problem that to the extent that the quality of product we provided was necessarily inversely correlated with subscriber retention, since GS never claimed to be a training site which was for anyone not playing microstakes.

Re: **ALL Training Site Discussion Goes Here**

Do they censor posts here?

Anyways, if you think WCG is competition, then you're doing something wrong. I gonna give him props for good youtube vids, but he closed the coaching thread on 2p2 after many negative reviews. Talking strategy in a fun way is one thing. Providing structured information that helps <140 IQ people make money is not that easy and i think he starts to realize this.

Maybe he has a deal with 2p2 to censor, who knows. Even here, whatever, I think he's good for poker, so i don't mind. Poker sites should be paying him for what he does.
RIO also only does what every site has done for the last 8 years. If you can't beat 0 innovation, i don't know...

It sounds like you're being facetious, but I'll take that seriously. Back and forth flame wars and spam were deleted, it's done in every forum.

Your deleted post started with "So in other words you admit that u suck. So why should anybody listen to anything you say?"

Later in your post you talk about "what you do."

The user that replied to you kept engaging in the war of words too, his post was also deleted.

Re: **ALL Training Site Discussion Goes Here**

I was serious, considering what type of conspiracies and accusations from random ***** were kept in my coaching thread that were beyond ridiculous .

I was simply telling the truth here and used some "bad words" assuming the church girls are already in bed. It's a poker forum. TheDefinitearticle is tough enough to take a punch, I don't think he minds. I hope that's not too much of a compliment for him...he still has no business commenting on coaching.

Since you have re-posted my first insult yourself, I'm content.

Happy NY btw @Chicago and thx for the work you're doing here (no sarcasm)

Hi,
Being really disappointed with bestpokercoaching I am looking for a new school. I am playing 10NL zoom. Would you rather recoment RIO or Upswing Lab? RIO seems to be a better deal when it comes to prices, but the Lab seem like something better organized, meaning easier to swallow. If you have any other suggestions please go ahead. Thanks.

From what I've gathered - I've never used Upswing - RIO is better if you have strong logical abilities, Upswing otherwise.

Please share what you didn't like and also send me your username (in pm also fine) so i can see what happened. Be specific so if anything we can learn from it and possibly make up for it if we did not do everything in our power.

It looks like a weird coincidence after my last post . I'll happily verify here for everybody that you indeed are/were a customer and then your feedback will be even more helpful.

Also feel free to post your opinion/disappointment in our coaching thread as well, even if it looks like it's not gonna be good. We don't go away (unlike others who go hiding), never will.

It's been there for 5+years, we've had some outrage from non-clients and iirc maybe overall 2-4 unsatisfied clients. But you probably know that already.

Transparency means not only the guys who move from NL2 to mid/high stakes, but also other opinions.

Re: **ALL Training Site Discussion Goes Here**

CFP deal at BPC cost me significant (for me) amout of time and money and I don't want to waste any more of them. I had had better results before I joined and I have better results after I quit (sic!). I don't believe in your intensions. This is just your marketing. No one asked me for feedback when I decided to quit as well as no one showed any will to improve. I caught you (or your site) lying in important matters and I won't trust you again nor I'll make anything to help you (at least in making money).

The reason you have so little of bad feedback is because people are scared. They agreed to pay €200 for every coaching attended in case of quitting and since you didn't ask for it and just kept their deposits they are afraid to make you change your mind. The were afraid to let you know that this program is rubbish so they gave false resons: new job, family problem, other personal reasons in hope to lose nothing but time and deposits.

"(...)not only the guys who move from NL2 to mid/high stakes (...) I mean... come on... please... really...? How many people joined micro SH program so far? How many moved up to mid/high so far? How decided to quit (irrespective of the resons they gave)?

Re: **ALL Training Site Discussion Goes Here**

You could have sent me your username, I would have confirmed for everybody and you would have kept your privacy...but you decided to be a coward.

The reason we have little to no bad feedback is that the few people who do not win are honest with themselves. And every feedback you read says the exact opposite of what you said.
"They care more about you then you care yourself".
Some self-reflection would suit you better. Look, the reason you don't share your name to me even in private is you are either

a) a paid account (we had a few confirmed fake accounts from other "competitors" in the past)

b) if i looked up your profile, i will see that you did not put in significant hours and very likely no big effort, completed close to no lessons. You have your own issues and blame things on others. I can check all communications.

Why am I so sure?
Because there is nothing new under the sun. But you have the chance right now to prove me wrong, publicly, in front of everybody.
And if I would then see that a coach or anybody else ignored you, they're fired tomorrow if they don't make up for it.

So when I asked you, I wanted to know not only because I care, but also for selfish reasons (improving our process, getting rid of leaks).
We have internal rules that if anybody from the team does not take care (they neglect somebody), they will lose 50% of their monthly salary.

I'll let people confirm in case you don't believe this. This is how much we care. And i'm sure you'll find nowhere that type of standard, nothing even close.

Now go and cry "marketing marketing marketing".

The rest you say is simply a lie. Now obviously we're not unhappy that you don't come back (hey, we likely lost money...), but more importantly...besides money, our community is very positive and people with toxic energy are not welcome.

And players who don't win, in the worst case I want them to have a really fun time, maybe the time of their life.
And that, even with my dislike for you personally and the way you behave...i do take what you say seriously in that regard.

So people will see a BIG improvement in the fun part (bc not everybody wants to be a pro badly, but simply enjoys the game).

So in a weird way, bad comments are still pushing us in the right direction. Hope you get lucky somewhere else.

Gordon, I wish you'd relax. I've all but stopped posting in your threads and not once have I said your coaching is bad. You don't need to bring me into it every time someone criticises your product.

I am a relatively new player and have read the different threads in the forums for beginners. I started with Harrington and then moved on to Jlittle. What are some thoughts on the different training sites (Floattheturn, pokercoaching) and materials put out by Jonathan Little. The guy has credibility with the $$$ he's made, but I never see any discussion about his materials on the forums.

Thanks in advance

Basically he's solid for live, online he's been overtaken quite considerably.

Be careful when people state "20million in winnings". You should look for profits instead, which is harder to come by - unless people start publishing their tax returns which I highly doubt.
Cash game PROFITS (not winnings!) are/used to be more trackable.

Most MTT players have a lot less money and are flat out broke. I know them, know the stories. People underestimate what living on the circuit costs both in money and opportunity cost (playing online instead).

So be careful giving instant credibility to a MTT player with XXX million lifetime winnings.
This does not disqualify anybody either. It's just not a good metric.
The good guys and the bad guys will use the XXX in live winnings since most players subconsciously confuse it with profits.

It's just how the world works and i don't say i blame anybody or would do it any different.

Re: **ALL Training Site Discussion Goes Here**

I signed up for Upswing poker last week before the price increase went into effect. This is the first site I have used in my studies and I am a relatively new player to the game. Just started the lab and I am now in the preflop modules. I will hold off judgement for now and post my thoughts on the format and content as I progress in the program. One initial thought is it could use more quizzes on topics discussed at the end of each presentation.

Any insight on how to best utilize the site?

Do any training sites offer to waive the monthly membership if you sign up for a poker site through them? I.e. some type of affiliate program?

I saw something on deuces cracked where they offer a free month but there is no additional information.

Re: **ALL Training Site Discussion Goes Here**

Four Cubed (Poker Affiliate Solutions is the site they are most known for) owns DC now I believe.

They are no longer a reputable company in the eyes of many in the industry.

I'd shop elseware. PokerStrategy, PokerVIP, check sites like Runitonce to see what they offer (if anything) too.

Re: **ALL Training Site Discussion Goes Here**

Recommendations on getting a micro NLHE into the black? Consistent loser in NL5, NL10, 6Max. Looking at DC, CR, and Upswing Poker. Not sure of 1 month, 3 month, 6 month subscription. Feel like I know poker, position, hand strength, bet sizing, just have many leaks as my losing graph shows. I've watched many Gripsed videos, read a few books over the years, just can't get it to the black. I think coaching would help, but not sure what that would cost vs what a training site might cost. Don't want to waste a coaches time, and my money, if I can't even beat micros!
I think I need to start at the ground up! Thanks in advance!

Re: **ALL Training Site Discussion Goes Here**

I agree with your assessment, you're at micros and you're not winning yet. I think getting some solid fundamental videos under your belt would be helpful. I think Gripsed is mainly a MTTer (or at least that's his strength), and books vary widely.

I'd consider Runitonce, their cheaper subscription is touted around here a ton, and it should be all you need strategically to get out of the micros with something to show for it. DC, CR and Upswing could also be good choices, I just see RIO recommended by very good players a lot more frequently these days.

Then you can look at more elaborate stuff (private coaching, staking, higher priced video content) if you want to move into the next level and feel you need more guidance.

Might be a bit late(though maybe it'll help others too) but there's pretty much nothing decent for o8 lately. If there is, I'd be kinda wary of whoever is offering it lol. For now, I guess you could just practice small-stakes online or maybe find a decent streamer on twitch.

Get a coach. Training sites are probably beneath you other than getting information on your opponents, though there's the occasional good video on RIO. If you're on Bovada/Ignition, disregard that and just sub to RIO.
