It's not too advanced, but for the price there's nothing really that can beat it imo. Great way to start thinking or refresh how you think about poker. Polk and Fee focus on teaching you how to play your range in a standard way in various spots, with less focus on exploiting your player pool. Pretty cool to hear the thought process these guys use in their play & explain videos. Also, Fee is a really good teacher, and I think a lot of people come for Doug but end up liking Fee equally as much. The two also do HH reviews for members in the FB group, which is pretty sick. Don't expect RIO-Elite level content, or intense GTO math. The best thing I've taken from it is an enhanced ability to notice what my opponents were doing wrong with their range in correlation with their betsizing strategies, because I have a better grasp of how I think it should be played from my perspective. From this point, I try and figure out how to best adjust, but they don't really teach those adjustments in "The Lab."

At the start of the Lab, they were releasing a ton of content, but since then its slowed down to a more normal pace. This isn't really an issue as the whole concept of the Lab is a A-Z course on poker, in which they have covered most of the topics. Sometimes FB feedback slows down, but they seem to post a lot more towards the end of each month. Some users are skeptical about their approach of not using solvers (i.e. PIO/Simple Postflop), but I think Polk has made it clear that this is not what his training package is geared for.

- Felt llke this post was kind of rambly, but I hope I covered what you were looking for in a review.

Can anyone post an honest review about TPE? (Tournament Poker Edge)
I'm considering a monthly subscription but I'd like some real feedback first.

I wish upswing poker would do a intensive series on the post flop engine for turn and river play too. I kind of like the way the post flop engine just refocuses on how you should be playing certain hands, im just bad about regrouping air hands into hands i can turn into bluffs or even possible best hand, i do think it can help my thinking and want to apply it to turns and rivers

i just know if i invest $200, then Im not gonna be happy or even $130 whatever it is for one month.

id love to hear some more opinions cause if it will help my deepstack play in mtts, then i might try it. I have sharpened my short stack skills so much that everytime Im in the real money deepstack MTTS that IM pretty lost until Im short LOL

but i play very little cash online so thats why im on the fence

BTW @selfishghost wasnt too blown away with TPE, id subscribe for amonth or 2 and but i dunno i expected more strategy and recent strategy stuff from bigdog and its all sweats (this is like from 7 months ago so i dunno since)

I mean you got JACE and all but its ok

I'm looking to improve my PLO/PLO8 game, and have been reading and doing research on a lot of training sites. Leaning towards duecescracked, does anyone have any opinions about it?

Or any recommendations for great PLO/PLO8 training sites?

Thanks

Based on which objective metrics and parameters did you make this judgement?

Or just a fanboy? (I liked Galfond as well back in the days when i was a player...i wouldn't fault you, but...)

I find it amusing that you mention 'objective metrics' when your entire advertising strategy is nothing more than an attempt to divert attention from objective metrics.

Any videos or pros that I 'have' to watch for the essentials? Just started playing nl2 6-max 2 weeks ago for the fun of it, but wanna get better now. Or do you think that I should complete the learning path they offer?

I would take a look at cardrunners. I don´t think you´ll find any better videos than the ones by Assassinato and Apestyles. The drawback is the 100 dollar signing up fee.

I'm not sure if I'm at liberty to reveal why, but video production has ceased.

Well, that's an easy one. For whatever reason, the business isn't profitable, because maaaaybe watching people play poker was cool in 2008. So unless you're a poker celebrity, you don't get away with providing standard content "only". Fwiw, i'm not at all saying they are bad, i don't judge because i don't know. Imo they are just as good/bad as cardrunners, rio,dc and all the other "standard" coaching sites. Coach makes video, talks, blabla, blabla... BORING! What i say is that their offering is not distinguished enough in todays landscape imo.

You need to up your game or meet your creator... What else possibly .

Anybody who can't afford to advertise in the coaching forum or any other forum on 2p2:

a) Is afraid of open reviews (we have seen "bigger" sites do this and leave in shame)
b) Can't afford 150/month

Credit to them for being honest and not accepting new clients.

Maybe its because nobody wanted to see any of your stuff?!

Any chance that their users made no profit because some of their coaches are sub-par...
