there's the galfond vs whitelime HU PLO series, which is good. on bluefire are the same vids from galfond's perspective/commentary. a bunch of stuff by fslexduck/dj sensei on DC that's good too

tournamentpokeredge.com seems to be the most popular/most resources nowadays, has been mentioned in this thread a fair bit

Few posters asked about content on live poker recently - just saw this on twitter, looks interesting:

http://www.pokernetcast.com/poker-vi...rategy-videos/

Have no affiliation/won't be using it myself but thought I'd post it as Bart Hanson always seemed to be a decent live player from his podcasts, the idea is the first of it's kind afaik and it's just $10/month

I'm playing at an Everleaf skin (but I dont think thats of any importance).

I was thinking about putting in 1 or 2 weeks watching a TON of Omaha training videos.

So I want to pay as little as possible for these 1-2 weeks and get as much volume as possible.

Suggesions? And reply with your rational b/c itll be viewed as ads otherwise.

I was wondering if any of you guys took a look at the training videos rakebrain.com has? Any ideas of which are the best ones to look at?

I've been looking at the HU cash table videos. The coach explains to you what you need to know before playing HU. Also, he shows you videos of himself playing HU and has a walkthrough on what to do.

Hello,

I've been a DC member for about 7 months now.I am pretty satisfied and impressed with all the good stuff that the site provides(videos, coaches, material, foroums), which is def worth the 30$/month and i've wacthed a great number of videos.

Unfortunately i've seen that post BF there is some kind of "stagnation" in the site. Not many new nl videos to see, or some sporadic video sessions that a coch decides to do..
Recently DC introduced the new season videos and IMO there are very few nl video series(theory, sweats,HH) worth seeing. "Midnight run",by chipchucker (which is great btw), "finally canadian" and some sporadic "mentor" videos are the only good ones now..(i might be forgetting sth). There are also some other good videos like "it is complicated" but they emphasize mainly in the psychological part of the game.
I mean i miss the videos of the "old days" with whitelime, noahsd videos crushing midstakes, great hu videos of wilt on tilt,DIH,krantz, duel series, great ssnl videos of linkwood, baluga etc etc..I want to specify once again that i'm talking about nl 6max and hu.

I would like to know if you agree/disagree with me and if you could recommend me some other training sites with a bigger variety of nlhe videos right now

Think about it for a second. Any of these U.S. sites are going to have trouble doing new videos, especially at mid and higher stakes. There's no place for them to play so they can make a video.

Wondering if anyone has any thoughts about 'optimal' time for a video? i guess it changes depending on style, but in general does anyone think there are cut off points where a) its not long enough to be really educational, and b) it becomes too long that its boring?

This has prob been asked to death, but i scrimmed through the last 10 pages or so and didn't find a good answer:
i'm playing micro NLHE 6max on stars, (NL10 atm, i want to reach small stakes at some point). since i'm pretty poor i can't really afford any coaching yet or anything like that, so i'm looking for a good training site since they do seem kinda cheap. what would be a good site to start?

/e: i don't have a creditcard, so a site where i can pay via paypal WITHOUT creditcard would be great

Really depends on the topic/presentation, but I generally prefer 25-35 minutes myself.

It shouldn't really matter, as the viewer should pause/play wherever they feel like is best for their own learning/schedule pace. If you're watching a video that is explaining preflop play, you might even stop a quarter of the way through, really digest what you've learned up until that point and revisit the rest of the video at another time.

Also, I've watched 45 minute videos that kept me very engaged the entire time, and 20 minute videos that dragged, so I think it can be very dependent on the quality of the presentation (both in strategic value and presentation or articulation talent).

the industry standard 45 mins - 1hr seems fine for me, I prefer that. A few sites have started making 'quickie' 10 min vids on the side now too, I don't personally like that, but I'm guess some do.

grinderschool is the cheapest, $5/month for microstakes-only vids i believe. no idea how good it is, but pretty good value to try out. all of the main sites (deucescracked, leggopoker, bluefire, cardrunners, drag the bar) have 7 day free trials, or you can get them free through rakeback deals (cardunners and drag the bar for raking ~$500 on partypoker per month, first month is free, for example), just shop around, you don't need to spend much at all nowadays. and yeah they all take paypal afaik

It definitely varies on both the topic in the video as well as the learning style of the viewer.

Also, some topics just cater towards shorter videos.

I am one of those types who struggles to sit still, so shorter videos suit my learning style.
