since black friday, i know a lot of us have been turning to live poker (casinos)

i was wondering what the best source of live coaching was?

would sites like bluefire/deucescracked etc be just as useful for live coaching? or should i be looking for certain books/training programs instead? idk

any help is appreciated

p.s. i see myself as an above average live player, i am guessing most help needed would be for looking for tells (body language), getting better value on every street, and learning to fold more often. i could be wrong though, i probably have a lot more leaks than this

Relatively new poker player here...

Do any of the training sites have a good section on beginning poker strategy/ABC poker/fundamentals, etc...along with more advanced stuff later on?

DC? PokerSaavy? BlueFire?

Preferably with a focus on LIVE Poker, but at such a basic level I'm assuming stuff geared towards online play wouldnt make much of a difference (?)

I've just tried out all the trials at DC LP CR BFP and they are all excellent. I would be happy to sign up with any of them. At this point due to sign up fees, I've decided to alternate DC and LP, I think switching monthly. I might play on party to get free CR. BFP if I ever play higher stakes.
Aejones is excellent.

Could someone that has experience in which sites might be best for the transition to live poker address some of these questions. I am curious also.

Thanks

I believe all the major sites did some videos after BF that were focused on live play, some more than others.

I'd say Pr1nnyraiding first then Dogisheadup, due to the latter starts at a slightly higher level of thinking. Not that Pr1nny is basic by any means, for introductory foundation building purposes, it's more appropriate, imo.

Has been a while since watching either though, fwiw.

I am interested in a Bluefirepoker membership. However I am wondering with what happened at FTP and since USA people can't play online anymore on Stars and FTP will there still be enough updates from the top pro's for example Phil Galfond?

Jman said this in the bluefire forums:

Bluefire Not Going Anywhere

Hey Guys,

I just want to assure everyone that BluefirePoker is not going to be shut down. We will still be making quality videos at the same rate as always.

I've been working with some of our pros to come up with creative ways to make videos.

In fact, if anyone has some suggestions for video formats, please post them here or in the video suggestions forum.

Thanks, guys. Take care.

-Phil

imo drag the bar sucks for NL cash, compared to other sites. It's great for LHE tho'. Pokernews strategy = pokerphenoms.com now, can't see anything about a free trial on there from a quick look at the site. it'd be worth signing up just for nanonoko and urnotindanger2's vids imo, i'd check how many vids they have on there first tho' before paying (they have RB deals too for free access)

well this is all of DC's hu plo vids, vanessa selbst, dj sensei, riverboatking, whitelime give good discussion (whitelime actually plays galfond in some of his vids)

thought this was quite cool, he acknowledges that she makes good vids:

and this is cardrunners, INTERNET POKERS and stinger have a few hu plo vids each
