Re: Pwnage coach

I took one lesson from the owner HerschelW. He is more of a cash game player and I decided to try it out. I am more of an mtt player so I didnt continue with him. However he was very professional and ran a good site. He will let go of coachese if they are not holding up their end of the bargain. I would try to figure out which one suits your style the best. Good luck

I have a CR membership and I'am looking to try out BFR just for one month. But is there anyway to reduce the hefty signup fee? Doesn't make sense to pay the signup fee if iam stayin there for 1month.

Hello

I am looking for a new training site not cardrunners.

I play $2/4-5/10 shallow stack, (CAP) 6max.

Well I read this thread again and I have a question which I am not sure has been answered.

Can Blue Videos be downloaded to an Ipod/Iphone?

If so do you need to use a converter software?

I believe often that is the point of the sign up fee.

It's a way of reducing costs for consistent members, while still properly charging 1 month "download it all then take off for awhile" members.

If you could get all of their videos for a one time payment of X, and regular members also had to pay X, then they would lack the incentive to resubscribe constantly once there is a large video library.

So say a site has 500 videos. They are only going to release up to say 30 videos in the next month. Assuming their quality is consistently good, you could get 500 videos in one month for that X price, so why would you consider paying X again for another 30 next month? You'd probably wait at least a month or two to resubscribe.

There are other ways to look at it too and other factors at play, but the sign up fees or increased costs for month 1 (or decreased for multiple months) does make sense, particularly for sites with large libraries of videos that are of similar quality.

Re: * Official Training Site Discussion Thread *

I want to join one training site. I've skimmed the thread, but for my particular needs, which site do you recommend?
I would break down what I play as follows:
50% live NL Holdem tourneys (mostly full ring, usually $300-$1500 buyin)
25% live NL Holdem cash (full ring, mostly $2/$5, some $5/$10)
20% online NL Holdem MTT (Sun million type tourneys, satellites to bigger events)
5% online multi-table SNG's
--But I also want a site with good PLO cash/tourney videos, and with solid Heads up NL cash videos, since I want to start learning those, too. Ideally, a site that has quality videos for all sorts of mid-stakes games would be best. Primarily, but not exclusively, tourneys. Thanks.

--I should say after some preliminary research, I'm leaning on choosing one of the following three: Cardrunners, Deuces Cracked, or Poker X Factor.

Even with sites that do use copyright protection it's still possible to watch videos with no internet connection.

Just download the videos you want to watch while on your trip and input your user name and password while connected to the internet. You should be able to watch the videos for a week or two before having to reenter your info.
